Dennis Drake’s Music Lab is a full service audio mastering facility serving the recording industry since 1991. Using the state-of-the-art Sonic Studio HD mastering workstation mated with vintage analog and tube gear, we specialize in audiophile mastering and are equipped to handle all analog and digital formats.

Chief Engineer/Owner Dennis Drake brings more than 20 years of engineering experience to the Music Lab. Former Studio VP for Polygram Records and concert sound engineer for the Beach Boys, he has mastered hundreds of rock, pop, jazz, country, and classical albums for companies such as Time-Life Music, Verve, Mercury, Polydor, Brunswick, and Sony-BMG. This includes multiple gold and platnum RIAA awards and three GRAMMY Winners: Eric Clapton’s “Crossroads”, James Brown’s “Startime” and “The Complete Charlie Parker on Verve”.

  • Individual Digital File Song sent via Dropbox or Hightail (analog extra)
  • Instrumental or TV track version of same song: $25 extra

CD Mastering

$75 - $135one time
  • CD Master up to 5 songs (20 min): $75 +per song charge
  • CD Master over 5 songs: $135 +per song charge
  • Includes CD refs and electronic delivery to manufacturing plant (DDP)

Client-attended CD Mastering

$100Per hour
  • Allows client feedback
  • Session must be a minimum of 2 hours
  • Includes all costs and features of normal CD mastering
